My babies seem to really love new toys for about five minutes! One of the boys plays with a wirey toy with movable blocks and then he turns it over and plays with the suction cups on the bottom. He then moves on to crawling around the living room and looking at each floor board instead. My other son likes to analyze different toys but he really prefers having a “conversation” with me, listening to music or hearing me sing! With all the stuff we get to entertain ourselves or our children, we sometimes end up having the most fun in conversation or playing. it makes me think, do we really need more stuff?
DO WE NEED ALL THIS STUFF?

Irene,
I agree completley with what you are saying. WE could spend all the money in the world on toys we think our children will love, but it’s always what they “can’t have” that interests them. I’ve known my nieces and nephews to want to play with anything that would make noise, meaning, measuring spoons, and the like. When your boys get older, they’ll appreciate their toys more, but for now, don’t be surprised when they want to play with whatever they can’t have.
